Prolonging the life of your cut flowers begins the moment they're entrusted to your care. First off, make sure your vase is very clean and filled with fresh, cool water mixed with flower food. Next, strip off all leaves that will be below the water level. Place the flowers in the vase, away from direct sunlight, radiators, draughts and fruit. Over the following days, be sure to remove any faded flowers and top up the water regularly, also be sure to cut an inch or so off of the bottom of the stems at an angle, with a sharp knife. This will allow your flowers a fresh drink.
